Usb entry point

I am interested in the area where Linux registers an USB device, finds out whether it is working, assigns an address, etc.
Code reference or some kind of guidelines would be very helpful. Is it possible for me to find one?

Thank you!

Sorry, I could only find incomplete list of devices that the usbnet driver works with (incomplete because Linux doesn't need to know anything specific about products (correctly) implementing the CDC Ethernet class specification, as they say). You should google it. Or click this link here now to find some more info in topics they have.
