Syslog Message Format [URGENT]

Hi,

I just observed that syslog daemon prints (Timestamp and Process name)
while logging to LOCAL destination and it prints (IP Address and a 2
DIGIT number not sure what exactly this 2 digit number) to REMOTE
NETWORK destination.

Logs getting logged at NETWORK destination

64.103.161.220> <64>: [LogName: pk][Level: Noise][Time: 1/January/
1970 1:24:46][ThreadID: 717408832]testmessage

>> Extra headers prepended in the above message is "64.103.161.220> <64>:"

Logs getting logged at LOCAL destination

Jan 1 01:24:46 process1: [LogName: pk][Level: Noise][Time: 1/January/
1970 1:24:46][ThreadID: 717408832]testmessage

>> Extra headers prepended in the above message is "Jan 1 01:24:46 process1:"

Even I passed empty string to openlog(), but it doesn’t make
difference.

I dont want the headers prepended by syslogd for for every message
logged via syslog()

Please let me know if you have solution for this to configure via
syslog configuration file OR by another other means.

Thanks a lot and Regards,

Veda
